Children’s Sunday School – 9:15 to 10:15
Children 0-3 are welcome in the nursery. PreK through 6th grade have Sunday School classes split by grade.
While all children are always welcome in service, we do offer alternative children’s activities during the sermon that are age-appropriate. Children 0-3 are welcome in the nursery any time during the service. Children preK-3rd are dismissed part way through the Foundry Service to go with Olivia to Children’s Church.
We also have “busy binders” located by the Welcome Desk. They have coloring pages and activity sheets. Feel free to grab one and return it to the used bin after service.
We have a church fellowship dinner every Wednesday at 5:30. After dinner, children are dismissed to attend children’s Wednesday evening activities (6:15-7:15).
Confirmation class is a study dedicated to preparing 5th and 6th grade students to become full members of the United Methodist Church. The course lasts for two years focusing on the history and theology of the United Methodist Church. Each student is paired with an adult mentor who helps guide the student on the journey through Confirmation class.
Melody Choir is our children’s choir. They sing occasionally in worship services, put on a fabulous musical every Christmas, and sometimes have a special spring performance, too! Melody Choir was started decades ago by one of our beloved late members, Shirley Walker, lovingly known as “Miss Shirley.” A few years ago it was handed over to the wonderful Miss Sarah.
“In my heart there rings a melody, there rings a melody of love.”
