Scouting

Southern Hills hosts two scouting organizations, and we invite you to be a part of scouting with us.

Cub Scouts

Pack 3020 (Pack 20) is a family program designed for boys and girls finishing kindergarten through 5th grade, ages 5 through 10. Cub Scouting is all about encouraging boys and girls to make friends, be helpful to others, and to do their very best no matter the outcome. With the help of powerful learning projects and exciting outdoor activities, we aim to teach children that doing their best can be a fun and rewarding experience – no matter the difficulty of the challenge. Come join us in Owen Chapel at 6:30 most Tuesday nights. The Pack meets regularly during the school year, generally following the local school calendars, and at times during the summer for special activities. Come check us out!

Boy Scouts

Troop 20 provides a program for young boys that helps build character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating in citizenship, helps them to develop leadership skills, and emphasizes personal fitness. Troop 20 is open to boys who have earned the Cub Scout Arrow of Light Award and are at least age 10 or have completed the 5th grade and are at least age 10, or who are age 11 but not yet age 18. Troop 20 meets year-round on Tuesday nights at 7:00 in the Scout Hut (the building at the east end of the church parking lot). Come check us out!
